What’s a current professional project you are excited about and why?

Launching video ads functionality on TV platforms. Video ads on TV not only drive revenue to the company, but also provide a premium platform for advertisers to expand their product reach across various types of audiences. With video ads on TV and other features like DJ and JAM, we are helping Spotify bring more interactive experience to everyone. 

Outside of work, I’m organizing a Comm Lead meetup/happy hour in Los Angeles area on Oct 25th. Comm Lead has built a strong community in Seattle, but given the shared interest in tech and media, we can also build a community in Southern California. What’s an experience from your time at Comm Lead that influences you professionally today? 

Comm Lead has many courses that teach students on building a community. It is just a matter of finding people who have common background and interest to start building one. 

What’s a favorite piece of content—writing, music, film, game, anything!—you’ve been hooked on lately?

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been captivated by Black Myth: Wukong. This game not only offers a compelling narrative but also serves as a powerful platform for introducing Chinese culture and ancient mythology to a wider audience. The growing interest in Wukong and the famous Chinese novel Journey to the West, exemplifies how popular games can bridge cultural gaps. Much like K-pop’s role in promoting Korean culture, Black Myth showcases the rich tapestry of Chinese heritage.
