Hi, I’m Kevin Laird (he/him), an MCDM alum from the 2023 cohort and a project manager at an indie game studio. I lead cross-functional teams across engineering, design, QA, and marketing for Adventure Forge, a no-code platform that empowers creators to build narrative games and interactive stories.
My career has spanned project management, technology, and experience design. Before moving into game development, I worked as a Cloud Support Engineer at a web hosting company, supporting web development, infrastructure, and DevOps initiatives. I’ve also contributed to projects for organizations including the Burke Museum, Museum of Flight, and Wing Luke Museum, and created an interactive art installation that visualized participants’ brainwave activity in real time.
During my time at UW, I served as a Comm Lead Ambassador, helping prospective students learn more about the Comm Lead program and community. In 2024, I was part of the winning team at the Commlead Screen Summit, where we designed an award-winning app prototype.
In my free time, I enjoy finding new restaurants in the area, going to events like PAX or Comic Con, playing video games, Dungeons and Dragons, and Magic: The Gathering and spending time with my bird, Echo.
