Dana Robinson Slote is a results-driven communications strategist with a proven track record of success in the political arena and the public sector. Dana brings a strong understanding of communications tools to her work in support of innovative advocacy methods, strategic initiatives and the creation of the best-in-class communications to her role in External Affairs with Seattle Children’s. Through engagement with policymakers, communities, and decision-makers across the Washington, Montana, Alaska, and Idaho (WAMI) region, Dana is responsible for leading, and driving advocacy, communications, and coalition strategic engagement across the Pacific Northwest region. Before joining Seattle Children’s, Dana served UW in a number of communications capacities – first in the Health Sciences, and later as Director of Media Relations for the University. In more recent roles, Dana guided the communications efforts of the nine member Seattle City Council for over a decade; and, she served as Director of Communications for the 24-member WA State Senate Democratic Caucus in Olympia. Dana is originally from Edmonds, WA and earned a Bachelor’s in Art from Western Washington University and a Master’s in Communication and Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University.
