Dana Robinson Slote

Part-Time Lecturer

Dana Robinson Slote brings a strong understanding of communications tools to her work in support of innovative advocacy methods, strategic initiatives and the creation of the best-in-class communications. Through engagement with policymakers, communities, and decision-makers, Dana is responsible for leading, and driving advocacy, communications, and coalition engagement across the Pacific Northwest region. Dana served UW in a number of communications capacities  – first in the Health Sciences, and later as Director of Media Relations.  In prior positions, Dana guided the communications efforts for the Seattle City Council; and, she served as Director of Communications for the Washington State Senate Democratic Caucus. Dana earned a Bachelor’s in Communication from Western Washington University and a Master’s in Communication and Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University. She is a frequent speaker and a two-time Ironman triathlete with deep roots in the Pacific Northwest.
