AI-Powered Creative Workflows for
Marketing & Communications
AI is becoming deeply entrenched in the creative process for marketing and communication professionals. Understanding how to deploy it strategically, with creativity and technical proficiency, is an increasingly valuable asset in this market.
This course is for professionals with a basic command of AI tools and workflows. Designed and taught by faculty from the University of Washington’s award-winning Communication Leadership Master’s program, the course includes hands-on experimentation using AI tools and prompts to create a campaign brief.

You will be taught by Communication Leadership faculty and experienced industry leaders with practical expertise in leveraging the latest AI tools and workflows for creative development in marketing and communications.
Course Modules
The four comprehensive modules will cover a detailed overview of a typical creative workflow—from co-writing campaign briefs and simplifying complex tasks, to co-creating creative artifacts and responsibly using AI in your creative endeavors.

Course Schedule
This course is offered 100% online and runs from May 04 to June 21, 2026.
Optional real-time networking and live sessions will be held online: TBD.
Including time in class, you should expect to spend about five to seven hours each week on coursework.
Admission Requirements
To register, you must have ONE of the following:
- Have taken the foundational COMLDX 901: Empowering Marketing & Communications With AI course
- A bachelor’s degree plus one year of work experience in communication, marketing or a related field
- Two years of college plus three years of work experience, with at least one year being in communication, marketing or a related field
English Proficiency

International Students
International students are welcome to enroll in an online offering of this course, which doesn’t require a visa. This course does not enable students to obtain or maintain F-1 visa status. For more information, see Admission Requirements for International Students.

- Ability to access AI tools (Free versions of Claude, ChatGPT, CoPilot, etc)
