Earning The Degree
Communication Leadership offers a flexible schedule, with in-person classes designed for busy professionals. Class meetings are held at the University of Washington-Seattle campus on weekday evenings or all-day on Saturdays or Sundays. You can choose to attend the program full-time or part-time to fit your schedule.
Timeline
Part-Time
- 45-credit degrees in 2-3 years
- 60 credit degree in 3-4 years
Full-Time
- 45-credit degrees in 15-18 months
- 60-credit degree in 2 years
International students must maintain a minimum of 10 credits per quarter, with the exception of their final quarter or annual vacation quarter.
Graduation Request
To graduate, submit a master’s request during your final quarter. Per UW Graduate School deadlines, this can be done any time between the first and last day of instruction.
Transcripts and Diplomas
Degrees typically post to transcripts 2-4 weeks after final quarter grades are posted. Diplomas are mailed three to four months later.
Graduation Ceremonies
Communication Leadership celebrates graduates with the rest of the University of Washington graduation ceremonies once per year in June, for all students who earned their degrees during the prior academic year.
