Our History
The Communication Leadership Program at the University of Washington, established in 2000, has grown to offer three degree tracks and a dynamic consulting program. With over 1200 alumni worldwide, our diverse community shares a passion for using communication skills to make a difference.

In 2020, students launched the Communication Leadership Consultancy. They have completed 360+ real world projects for 240+ organizations. This hands-on experience enriches their degree pursuits.

Communication Leadership students are recognized for their work on a global scale. In 2023, a record 18 Telly Awards went to students, faculty and alumni from UW Communication Leadership program, including videos produced as part of storytelling classes.
