Our Commitment to Equity, Advocacy and Inclusivity

At Communication Leadership, we hold equity, inclusivity and advocacy as foundational values. We are committed to interrupting and dismantling systemic racism and sexism and ensuring that our students feel they belong in our community, regardless of their background and lived experience. Our graduates carry forward this commitment, spreading our values to every workplace they enter and driving positive change in the world.

Partnerships & Initiatives

Community
We’ve partnered with the Center for Communication, Difference and Equity(CCDE) to enhance diverse representation in our program. This partnership included an audit of our curriculum and syllabi, recruitment process, and hiring process through the lenses of diversity and equity.

Students
Our Communication Leadership Consulting initiative, launched in 2020, connects students and faculty with mission-driven organizations. We tackle projects together aimed at fostering community engagement, driving innovation, and creating lasting social change.

Faculty & Staff
We commit funding for all of our faculty and staff to periodically participate in professional development trainings of their choosing around these values.
