Pam Kahl is the founder and President of verbal800 Communications, a marketing communications consultancy dedicated to building awareness and social capital around world-changing ideas. Clients include Ashesi University College in Ghana, CARE, Mercy Corps, Sustainable Harvest Coffee Importers and the University of Washington’s Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences, among others.
Prior to starting verbal800 in 2006, Pam was a member of the executive team at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide where she led communications strategy for myriad Microsoft product launches and corporate image campaigns. Her skill at identifying storytelling opportunities and building relationships with influence has lead to high visibility coverage in outlets such as CNN, Good Morning America, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio, among others.
Pam holds a BA in English from UC Berkeley, a certificate in International Development Management & Policy from the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Affairs and is a graduate of UW’s Master of Communication in Communication Leadership program. In 2011, Pam spent a month in Ghana as a guest lecturer at Ashesi University College teaching a seminar on strategic storytelling. She is an elected board member at Girls Inc. Oregon.
