Alex Montalvo is a freelance video producer and communication strategist focused on developing programs that inspire action or encourage positive behavior change.

Alex’s background is in non-profit program development and environmental education. Originally from Miami, FL, Alex launched the City of Miami’s first Green Miami urban reforestation and education program. Upon moving to Seattle, Alex led thousands of volunteers in restoring King County’s natural areas as EarthCorps’ Project Manager for the Green Seattle Partnership, the largest urban reforestation effort in the country.

Alex is a Comm Lead MCDM graduate, Cohort 13. As a grad student, Alex was a digital media fellow for the UW’s Center for Human Rights, where he helped launch the Unfinished Sentences initiative and led UW Task Force students to El Salvador to produce videos for the Salvadoran human rights organization Pro-Busqueda.
