Molly M. McCarthy’s passion is connecting mission, message, and action for good causes. As the Managing Director of Marketing and Communications at the University of Washington’s College of the Environment, she leads a team charged with connecting the mission and vision of the College with both internal and external audiences.

In addition to strategic communications and marketing, Molly’s team also runs a Science Communication program that provides tools, training, and one-on-one consultation for scientists who want to share their work outside of their discipline.

Molly has more than twenty years of experience designing and leading comprehensive marketing, public relations, outreach, and public information programs. In addition to the nearly nine years she’s lead communications teams at the UW, Molly’s also worked in private and nonprofit organizations, lending her abilities as a storyteller and strategic thinker to organizations from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and RealNetworks to InvestigateWest and the Washington State Arts Commission.
