Carol Garza is currently the Senior Manager of Consumer Engagement at 206inc. where her clients include Amazon, Laird Norton Wealth Management, Lane Powell, Delta Dental of Washington, and Seattle Foundation.

Carol was previously the Events and Promotions Manager for the Downtown Seattle Association – an organization focused on making Downtown Seattle a great place to live, work, shop and play through public advocacy, economic development and marketing.

Carol lead large marketing campaigns like Summer In Seattle and Holidays in Seattle. These projects were in partnership with Visit Seattle and Seattle Center who supported the efforts to promote Downtown Seattle. She also was instrumental in the Urban Parks Initiative which helped to bring new life to Westlake and Occidental Parks. The early success was recognized by Seattle Magazine as one of the Most Influential projects of 2015.

Before joining the Downtown Seattle Association, Carol served as a lead contributor to the Creative Services team at KOMO 4. There she worked on projects supporting the News Director’s initiatives which included campaigns like Your Transportation Station, Voter’s Guide and numerous community service projects.

Carol will earn her Masters in Communication in Digital Media (MCDM) from the University of Washington this summer and currently has a B.A. in Journalism from Central Washington University. She was named Alumni of the Year in 2011 from the Communications Department for her accomplishments in the community that embody CWU’s mission of fostering citizenship.

She has also received four regional Emmy nominations including two Emmy Wins for her work on KOMO 4 Marketing Campaigns. She is currently a member of the United Way’s Emerging Leaders program and a Wish Granting Volunteer for Make­A­Wish.
