Amber Cortes, Cohort 12/MCDM track, presents her short documentary “Luchadora” at the 2015 Screen Summit at Cultivate. The film, which follows a female Lucha Libre wrestler in Washington, was created for Sarah Stuteville and Alex Stonehill’s multimedia production class and debuted at the Seattle International Film Festival this year.
Lance Trueb, Cohort 13/MCDM track, presents business plan for a nonprofit called “The Social Collective” at the 2015 Screen Summit at Cultivate. Trueb created the idea for this venture for Rick McPherson’s COM 587: Business Fundamentals in Digital Communication class.
The 2015 Screen Summit at Cultivate was the last for Comm Lead Community Manager Ashley-Rose O’Mara, who’s worked with the program for over four years and is now moving on to a different agency. The team sent her off to with an emotional farewell and an honorary graduate degree at the ceremony.
Shelly Ngo, Cohort 12/MCDM track, shares her takeaways from working with the King County Prosecutor’s Office at the 2015 Screen Summit at Culitvate. Her marketing work there was done as part of an independent study with Kathy Gately and Anita Verna Crofts.
Zhang “Awen” Wen, Cohort 14/MCDM track, presents her micro-volunteering app concept, “Dedicated 2,” at the 2015 Screen Summit at Cultivate. The project was an exercise in creativity for Wen, who created the app for Anita Verna Crofts’ COM 536: Leadership Through Stories and Communities class.
